Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Level 2 Light Vehicle
Entry Requirement: Preferable Grades A-G GCSE or equivalent
Duration: Approximately 18-24 months
Details: This qualification is for those working or training in the light vehicle service and repair industry. Units of the qualification will include; Contribute to Workplace Good Housekeeping, Ensure your Own actions Reduce Risks To Health & Safety, Maintain Positive Working Relationships, Carry Out Routine Vehicle Maintenance, Remove and Replace Engine Units and Components, Remove and Replace Engine Units and Components, Remove and Replace auxiliary Electrical Units and Components, Remove and Replace Vehicle Chassis Units and Components, Remove and Replace Vehicle Transmission and Driveline Units and Components. The programme will also include communication, application of number and ICT.
Job Prospects: Motor vehicle mechanic, technician, progression to level 3 vehicle maintenance and repair.
Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Level 3
Entry Requirement: Preferable Grades A-C GCSE, NVQ Level 2, or equivalent.
