What is an NVQ?
- An NVQ is a qualification based on competence in the workplace.
- NVQ’s are qualifications about work.
- They are based on standards of competence set by your industry.
- NVQ’s have the full backing of Government, CBI and TUC.

What is expected from you?
Nothing, it’s free and you don’t need any formal qualifications.
All we ask is that you are employed and use a computer aged 25+ and are prepared to take a responsible attitude towards your learning and development. |

How will I be assessed?
You will receive one to one assessment with your Assessor.
She/he will help you to build a portfolio of evidence to demonstrate your competence against the national standards. |

What can I do next?
The NVQ in IT provides an up-to-date qualification in line with industry needs, and presents an opportunity for individuals to progress to becoming Team Leaders or Supervisors.The NVQ Level 2 in IT will also allow you to progress towards higher level qualifications, such as NVQ Level 3. |
