Apprentice Receptionist/Administrator

We are currently looking for a Receptionist/Administrator for our Barnsley Centre. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with us and gain a Customer Service Level 2 qualification.

Vacancy description

 Key Responsibilities:

  • To provide a professional customer service, via reception, to both internal and external clients.
  • Data processing of information both electronic and hard copy whilst meeting GDPR and contractual requirements.
  • To provide administrative support for Human Resources.
  • To carry out compliance audits and regular quality checks across the learner journey

Business Development Manager

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Development Manager to join Independent Training Services, preferably with experience within the commercial and work based learning sectors.


About the role
As a member of the Business Development Unit, you will be responsible for generating income from new prospects, existing clients, partners and new product development.

Reporting to the Commercial Director, the successful candidate will be a confident communicator with the ability to effectively engage new clients and employers and develop strong working relationships to maximise business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, target and engage new business opportunities, utilising effective market intelligence, and convert these to sales/clients to meet and exceed targets 
  • Manage existing client accounts to ensure that client needs are met, strong relationships are developed and additional business opportunities are maximised 
  • Work with external agencies (partners/brokers/networking groups) to nurture and grow relationships resulting in more referrals, increased income generation and our client needs being met 
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the wider ITS Group to prepare, analyse and report on current and projected positions relating to market share, lead generation, sales volumes, proposals, agreements and other employer engagement related activities, sharing sales information and best practice to contribute to Group income and profit

Your experience and essentials will include:

  • At least 2 years B2B sales experience with a track record of income generation.
  • Experience of working towards KPI’s and exceeding targets.
  • Level 2 English and Maths.
  • Proficient with ICT/Microsoft Office applications.
  • Full, clean UK driving license, with a willingness to travel throughout the UK.
  • Ability to work flexibly and unsocial hours on rare occasions.
  • Ability to manage and prioritise own workload.

Job Type: Full-time

Functional Skills/Employability Skills Tutor (Mansfield)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Functional Skills/Employability Skills Tutor to join Independent Training Services.


About the role
As a member of the Delivery Team, you will be responsible for the Delivery of Employability and Functional Skills English and Mathematics in a classroom based setting - for a range of learners. Working with delivery tutors, teams and managers to ensure the 16-19 provision is delivered effectively. Work with appropriate external agencies and organisations to support teaching, and progression opportunities


Reporting to the Study Programme Business Manager, the successful candidate will be an experienced tutor with classroom experience and the ability to effectively engage learners and deliver excellent individualised teaching, learning and assessment across our Study Programme provision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare lessons and resources in accordance with the curriculum, sharing with colleagues where required for best practice.
  • Completion of examination paperwork, ILPs, Learner reviews, Initial Assessments and Diagnostics
  • Work with vocational tutors to show consistency across the curriculum – embedding functional skills into vocational context where appropriate.
  • Marking and assessment of learners’ work giving positive feedback to challenge learning further.
  • Contribute to the Quality Assurance within the curriculum Area
  • Develop and adapt conventional teaching methods to meet the individual needs of pupils.
  • Enroll learners onto relevant programme liaising with administration team where required.
  • Liaise closely with parents and guardians, providing pastoral support when required
  • Maintain good records regarding learner progression, qualifications and certification.

Your experience and essentials will include:

  • Experience of teaching Employability and Functional skills English and Maths from Entry Level to level 2
  • Teaching qualification (PGCE, CertEd or equivalent)
  • Experience of working with 16-24 year olds and young adults
  • Classroom teaching experience
  • Experience of developing teaching resources

AAT Training Manager (Assessor)

An exciting opportunity for an experienced, successful Assessor/Teacher with experience in the Accountancy industry who is willing to travel throughout Yorkshire and Nottinghamshire, to join our team at Independent Training Services.

About the role

Manage a caseload of learners to meet company and AAT awarding body standards, delivering qualifications up to level 4 (as a minimum).
